A tattoo artist. A bible translator. A shared struggle.
What happens when two different people unite through a shared struggle?
Awen is a tattoo artist. Anwar is a Bible translator. When a development plan threatens to destroy their community and remove them from the converted chapel they work in, they come together.
They will realise they are connected not just by their seemingly impossible struggle but by a love of language and storytelling too. Belief, identity, local community unity and the discovery of common ground, Gair ar Gnawd is a very real opera sung in Welsh, about Wales now. It is a story we can relate to and be inspired by.
